“DIARY OF A WINNER”

THE 1914 "MIRACLE" BRAVES

May 8, 1914 ... The Braves and Giants were rained out and manager Stallings is at his wits end.  He can not believe the bad luck that is following his team on and off the field.  He feels the Braves are a much better team than has shown up so far.  He feels the inconsistency in the weather his preventing his batters from finding their groove.  He also feels that his pitchers are not able to get into a consistent schedule because of so many days off.
