EDGAR WESTFALL   RB

Edgar Westfall was born in Salem, Oregon on November 8, 1908.

He attended Ohio Wesleyan University where he was on the football team, playing quarterback and handling the kicking. He won the Bun Trophy and received honorable All-American honors. Edgar also was a shortstop on the baseball team, graduating in 1932.

After graduation he played for the Boston Braves/Redskins in 1932 and 1933 where he received four passes for 79 yards and ran for 103 yards, scoring two touchdowns. As a quarterback he passed nine times and only completed one pass for a touchdown. In 1933 he was traded to the Pittsburgh "Football" Pirates.

Edgar Westfall was inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame in 1965 and passed away on March 21, 1968, at age 59, in Canton, Ohio.
