FOOTBALL AT FENWAY
The Eagles intercept Holy Cross, 26-7

November 26, 1955 ... Boston College thumped Holy Cross at Fenway Park.  The Eagles turned the highly touted Holy Cross passing attack to their own advantage by stealing six aerials to set up three of their four touchdowns.  It started early when sophomore Larry Plenty cut down a pass at his own one yard line.  It continued when Emerson Dickie rambled 63 yards with his second interception.  Both interceptions allowed Billy Donlan to score touchdowns.  In between Eddie DeSilva scored two touchdowns, one on an eight yard sweep and another on a two yard off-tackle shot, after the Eagles recovered a fumble.  B.C.'s effectiveness on pass defense amazed Coach Mike Holovak not to mention the Crusaders.  In spit of it the Worcester boys kept fighting.  They were within a touchdown at halftime via a 46 yard scoring pass from Tom Roberts to Dick Areand.
