FOOTBALL AT FENWAY
The Terriers set a team scoring record as
Agganis hits 13 passes

November 17, 1951 ... Harry Agganis piloted the B. U. Terriers past Wichita at Fenway Park as freshman Tom Gastall intercepted three passes.  Agganis did what he pleased it seemed, as the first time he touched the ball he moved the team to a touchdown on the second play of the game.  As a matter of fact, he completed five passes for 105 yards on the Terriers' first five plays and ran for five yards on the sixth play.  After he warmed up his pitching arm, he saw that his receivers were not having trouble and the offense exploded.  B.U.'s 39 points ran the team's total to 280 for the years, setting a new team record.   The first touchdown was Agganis' only scoring throw, his 11th touchdown pass of the year.  The B.U. quarterbacks total amount of yards in the air (13 for 23 netting 187 yards) was more than the total Wichita offensive production.  Wichita's lone score came at the end of the first half with B.U. leading 19-0.
