“DIARY OF A WINNER”

FENWAY'S FIRST TEAM

April 17, 1912 ... Rain prevented the Red Sox and Athletics from playing the last game of their series.  The game was called at 1PM by manager Connie Mack.  Although it rained incessantly, there was hope the game may be played up until noon time.

The Red Sox arrived at Back Bay Station from Philadelphia at 10PM,  The players were in the best condition.  President McAleer said that the team is doing well and was pleased with the showing they made in New York and Philadelphia.
