... The Orioles beat the Braves in an exhibition game at Dunn Field by a 3 to 2 score. The Orioles displayed great fielding and good hitting before a large crowd. Youngster, Babe Ruth, pitched three innings for Baltimore.
Beck started for the Braves and gave way to Bill James, who was a bit wild in the three innings he pitched. Butch Schmidt, who played on the Orioles last season, was a fan favorite. Les Mann broke into the run column with a home run. |
