THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, PART 2 ...
A POWERFUL RED SOX TEAM FAILS
IN THE WORLD SERIES ...

April 27, 1946 ... Close to freezing weather postponed today's game in Philadelphia, setting up a doubleheader tomorrow afternoon.  Tex Hughson said today that he hopes he can pitch as well as Dave Ferriss did yesterday.  Who is catching tomorrow is up in the air as both Hal Wagner and Frankie Pytlak are nursing injuries, with rookie Eddie McGah again waiting in the wings.  Cronin was pleased with the way McGah handled Ferris in his first big league game behind the plate yesterday.
