IN THE WORLD SERIES ...

June 19, 1946 ... The Browns won the latest round of their feud with the Red Sox.  Even before tonight's game was washed out, St. Louis General Manager Bill DeWitt obtained permission from American League President, William Harridge to make the Red Sox stay and make up tonight's game, tomorrow night.

Dom DiMaggio felt good enough to put on his uniform and warm up before the game was called off.
