“DIARY OF A WINNER”

THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, PART 2 ...
A POWERFUL RED SOX TEAM FAILS
IN THE WORLD SERIES ...

July 22, 1946 ... No game scheduled ... Bad flying conditions forced the Red Sox to take the train to Chicago.  Bill Zuber preceded the team to his home in Iowa to spend some time with his family.  Manager Joe Cronin plans to use him in the upcoming series in Chicago.  Eddie Pellagrini also went to Chicago early to visit with some friends.

Leon Culberson, who has been out of action for a  week with a pulled muscle should be back in uniform.
