“DIARY OF A WINNER”

THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, PART 2 ...
A POWERFUL RED SOX TEAM FAILS
IN THE WORLD SERIES ...

September 14, 1946 ... No game scheduled ... Manager Joe Cronin plans on resting his key players.  Many of the players will leave for Boston after tomorrow's game and miss the two games in St. Louis.  Only Rudy York plans on playing without a break.

Cronin will allow York, Williams and Pesky to play and compete for their RBI, HR and batting titles, as well as give Hughson and Ferriss their chance to earn their pitching marks.

The actual World Series tickets are due to arrive from the printer at Fenway Park today.  Mailing of the tickets will be done by the end of the week.
