September 16 & 17, 1946 ... No games scheduled ... The Red Sox came home in two contingents today.  Present plans call for practice daily and scouting the St. Louis Cardinals, who will play over at Braves Field.

About 100 fans, 50 airport employees, 25 State Policemen and about 35 friends and player's wives also taking the plane back to Boston.  Hal Wagner, who is suffering from a bad cold, arrived earlier and met with the team doctor.

Eddie Pellagrini, who was in Chicago because of a family illness and Don Gutteridge, who is at his home in Kansas, will meet the remainder of the team in St. Louis.
