“DIARY OF A WINNER”

THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, PART 6 ...
"THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM"

September 25, 1967 ... No game scheduled ... The California Angels dropped the Minnesota Twins into a first-place tie with the Red Sox, by defeating them 9 to 2 with a 15 hit attack. The Twins and the Red Sox both have 90-68 records with four games remaining.

Darrell Brandon learned he had torn a muscle in his back and is done for the season.  Sparky Lyle has a stiff arm but feels he will be fine. Carl Yastrzremski took a brief batting practice, hitting about 20 pitches thrown by Joe Foy.
