October 13, 1967 ... Dick Williams and Bobby Doerr were at the park and visited with Tom Yawkey. The Red Sox held a press conference at the Somerset Hotel. Dick Williams got a two year extension on his contract. He will get a $20K raise.

The ballpark was a mess as it was being converted to football, as some of the players strolled in.  On Sunday Yaz will appear on the Ed Sullivan Show in New York, Tuesday he will be on the Merv Griffin Show, Wednesday on the Johnny Carson Tonight Show, and Friday on "Match Game". Jim Lonborg and Dennis Bennett got their tickets for a trip to the Bahamas.
