Jackie
Bradley Jr. saved a run and took an extra base hit away from Tyler
Flowers in the second inning. After Chicago took a 2-0 lead on a solo
home run by Conor Gillaspie to lead off the second, Alejandro De Aza
laced a one-out double to right, and appeared to be able to trot home
easily when Tyler Flowers launched a bullet to the gap in right
center that was falling fast.
Bradley got a great jump on the ball, sprinted to where it was headed, and made
a last-second Superman leap to snare the catch and stun Flowers, who was sure he
had an extra base hit. |
