BOB HEFFNER

It was very difficult to win games for the 1964 Boston Red Sox. Not a single starting pitcher on the team had a winning record. Bob Heffner was then summoned to join the Red Sox in Boston to bolster a depleted pitching staff that was down to just eight men. Ike Delock had been released, and Gene Conley was on the DL.
