Ed Justice was born in Post Falls, Idaho on November 19, 1912, and attended Clarkson High School in Clarkson, Washington. He went on to play football for Gonzaga University and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game in 1936.

Ed played professional football for the Boston in 1936 and moved with the team to Washington, in 1937. In 1936, in Boston, he rushed for 10 yards and caught eight passes for 132 yards. Against the Packers in the 1936 NFL Championship Game, he had one reception for 33 yards. He made the Pro Bowl in 1942.

Following his professional football career Ed served as a member of the armed forces in World War II, and later as a Spokane businessman.

Ed Justice was named to the Gonzaga Hall of Fame in 1988 and passed away in Anacortes, Wash, on October 26, 1991, at age 78.
