Eddie Morgan played six seasons for the Cleveland Indians and a final one for the Boston Red Sox. On October 3, 1933, the Red Sox selected Eccie from New Orleans in the Rule 5 draft. The Red Sox had first seen him in the spring of 1927 when the team had its spring training home in New Orleans and Eddie played several games against them.
