Still only 24 years old, Emmet McCann opened the 1926 season with the Red Sox,
back in the major leagues after five years away. He made the team during spring
training in New Orleans, and was determined to make the most of his opportunity.
He appeared in six games, the last one on May 23rd, and garnered only four plate
