Frank Bausch was born in Marion, South Dakota on June 14, 1908. He attended Wichita Cathedral High School in Wichita, Kansas and attended college at the University of Kansas, where he played football, basketball and ran track. Frank went on to play center and linebacker for the Boston Redskins from 1934 thru 1936, making first team All-Pro in 1936. In 1937 he was traded to the Chicago Bears and played with them until 1941, making the Pro Bowl in 1940. In 1941 he was an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Eagles. He returned to Wichita in 1942 and was a partner of the Wel-Bausch Tire Co. Frank Bausch passed away on April 6, 1986, at age 67, in Wichita. |
