Jim Fraser was born on May 29, 1936 in Philadelphia, and attended Germantown Academy. He then went on to play football at the University of Wisconsin and was selected in the 21st round of the 1959 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. From 1962 thru 1964 he was an AFL All star as the punter for the Denver Broncos. In 1963 he led the AFL with an average of 44.4 yards per punt and 44.2 yards per punt in 1964. In 1965 he moved on to punt with the Kansas City Chiefs and then spent the last two years of his pro career playing for the Boston Patriots in 1966 and the New Orleans Saints in 1968. Following his football career, Jim became a coach at Cornell, Illinois, Trinity Valley Community College and Episcopal High School in Alexandrian, Virginia. On April 18, 2020, Jim Fraser passed away from coronavirus at age 83, in Lansdale, PA. |
