LARRY JOHNSON   E

Larry Johnson was born in Odanah, Wisconsin on March 28, 1909. He was an American Indian and a member of the Menominee Tribe, attending the Haskell Indian Institute in Lawrence, Kansas in 1929.

He played for three years with the Boston Redskins as a linebacker, center and an end. He caught two passes in 1934 for 25 yards.

After his time in Boston, he spent one year playing for the New York Yankees in 1936. He then played for the New York Giants from 1936-1939 and was All-Pro in 1938 when the Giants were NFL champions. In 1944, he was back with the Redskins in Washington.

Larry Johnson passed away in Madison, Wisconsin on January 29, 1965 at age  55.
