RICK CONCANNON   G

Ernest Rick Concannon was born in Waltham, Mass on January 12, 1908. He attended Waltham High School and was an All-State football player, later going to Dean Academy. He went on to play college football for NYU and was named an All-American in 1932.

Rick was a lineman for the Staten Island Stapletons in 1933. He then played for the Boston Redskins from 1934 thru 1936.

He served in the Navy during World War II and was a line coach for the St. Philip Catholic Central High School football team from 1945 thru 1955, after being discharged from the service. He later was also a high school official in Michigan for 10 years.

In later life Rick worked for the Weston Biscuit Company, retiring in 1968 after 23 years as the production foreman.

Rick Concannon retired to Bradenton, Florida and volunteered as an instructor and athletic programmer at the Children's Haven School in Sarasota. He passed away on June 17, 1986, at age 78, Bradenton.
