September 30, 1948 ... Rain postponed the third games of the series with the Dodgers.  Marv Rickert was called up from Milwaukee to take over for Jeff Heath.

The club also had a meeting to decide on World Series shares. The club house manager, Shorty Young, will get 3/4 shares.  Si Johnson, the batting practice pitcher, Ray Sanders, and the three bat boys will receive 1/4 share.  Al Lyons will receive 1/2 share and rookies Johnny Antonelli and Glen Elliot were not included.

The entire club and management were guests at Al Schacht's restaurant in Manhatten.
