FOOTBALL AT FENWAY
The Eagles have their way over B.U.
November 22, 1930 ...
The Boston College Eagles unleashed a fast running and passing attack at Fenway Park defeating the Boston University team by a one-sided score of 47-7. The B.U. Pioneers were no match for the B.C. regulars and the second stringers were brought in for the
second half. Paul Hootstein was B.U.'s strongest player. In addition to carrying the ball he was outstanding on defense. Early in the second period he waltzed across the Eagle goal line with B.U.'s only score.

The Eagles made 24 first downs to the Pioneer's five. The Eagles top scorer, Chessy Antos added two more touchdowns. He scored the first touchdown near the end of the first period, crashing through guard for 35 yards and scored standing up. Jack Marr teamed up with Antos on the first three touchdown marches, and after Antos had scored
the second touchdown, Marr staged a 25-yard run that put the Eagles in position for their third score. A Colbert pass was caught by Art Conway on the five and then Marr carried it across for touchdown number three. In the second half, the substitutes kept up the attack for
B.C.
The Eagle backfield of Colbert, Antos, Marr and Kelly clicked well together and all figured in the first three touchdowns. In the third period Mike Vodoklys, standing at midfield, hit Ralph Mallett at B.U.'s 14-yd line who took it in for another score. Vodoklys also made
some good runs in the last period and posted a score after a penalty put the ball at B.U.'s five yard line. Pete Chesnulevich made the last two touchdowns on line plunges.
