“DIARY OF A WINNER”

FANS IN THE GRANDSTAND
AT BRAVES FIELD

BACK-TO-BACK WORLD SERIES CHAMPS

October 8, 1916 ... No game scheduled ... Both teams took it easy today.  Members of the Red Sox entertained their relatives from out of town by touring the area in their automobiles, while members of the Robins also went sightseeing, between fielding phone calls at the Hotel Brunswick.

Both clubs will leave immediately after the game and board a train for New York so they can settle in.  The Red Sox will be staying at the Hotel St. Andrews.  The Royal Rooters will also leave on a special train at 6PM for New York.  At stops along the way, their band will serenade the onlookers.  When they arrive in New York they will parade to the Elks Club and disband.  In the morning they will parade down Broadway to 34th Street, where they will take autos to Ebbets Field.
